Virat Karrna

Biography

Virat Karrna is an Indian actor who has made a notable entry into the Telugu film industry. Before venturing into acting, he gained experience in film production, working on projects like Jaya Janaki Nayaka (2017). His involvement in the production side of filmmaking sparked a deeper interest in acting. To pursue this passion, he created an action short film that showcased his potential. 

This endeavor caught the attention of producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy, who recommended him to director Srikanth Addala for a role in Peddha Kapu Part 1. To further hone his craft, Virat underwent training under the guidance of Satyanand, a respected acting coach in the Telugu film industry.

Film Career

Virat Karrna made his acting debut with the political thriller Peddha Kapu Part 1 (2023), directed by Srikanth Addala. In this film, he portrayed the titular character, Peddha Kapu, a role that delves into themes of social injustice and the empowerment of the common man. The movie, set in a rural backdrop, highlights the struggles against oppression and the journey towards self-assertion. Virat's performance was noted for its intensity and commitment, especially in the action sequences choreographed by renowned stunt director Peter Hein.

Following his debut, Virat is set to appear in Nagabandham – The Secret Treasure (2025), a pan-Indian mythical adventure film directed by Abhishek Nama. The movie explores ancient rituals and hidden treasures, with Virat playing a central role in unraveling these mysteries. The film's pooja ceremony was graced by megastar Chiranjeevi, indicating the project's significance in the industry.

Training and Preparation

To prepare for his roles, especially in Peddha Kapu Part 1, Virat underwent rigorous training. He emphasized performing his stunts to bring authenticity to his character. This dedication resulted in some on-set injuries, but it also showcased his commitment to delivering a compelling performance.
