Biography
Ward Horton was an American actor born on January 14, 1976, in Morristown, New Jersey. At a young age, Horton moved to a North Carolina farm, where he learned how to operate farm machinery and ride horses.
He attended Wake Forest University, where he earned a B.S. in business. Horton used his degree for a few years as an investment broker in North Carolina, then decided to move to New York City and pursue an acting career.
He made his professional acting and feature film debut in an independent release called "Clowns" (2000). Horton made his TV debut on an episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-present) in 2004.
After landing a two-episode bit part on "All My Children" (ABC, 1970-2011) in 2006 and an appearance on the first season of "Gossip Girl" (The CW, 2007-2012), Horton made brief appearances on a number of procedural shows like "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010), "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2002-2012), and "White Collar" (USA, 2009-2014).
He had a featured extra appearance in Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2013) and landed his breakout lead role as John Gordon in the horror film spin-off of "The Conjuring" (2013), "Annabelle" (2014).
Horton joined the main cast of the medical drama "Pure Genius" (CBS, 2016), which was canceled once its first season run of 13 episodes was completed.
