Xavier Box
Biography
Xavier Box was born in April 1981 in Saint-Denis, Réunion Island, France. Raised with a multicultural background, he later moved to the United Kingdom to pursue his education. He graduated in 2001 from Central Saint Martins, one of London’s leading institutions for art and design. Shortly after completing his studies, he began working professionally in the film industry.
Career in Film Editing
Xavier Box has built an international reputation as a skilled film editor, known for his sensitivity to storytelling and visual rhythm. His editing work spans multiple countries and languages, reflecting a global cinematic sensibility.
Among his most recognized projects is First They Killed My Father, directed by Angelina Jolie. The historical drama, based on Loung Ung’s memoir, received critical acclaim for its emotional depth and immersive storytelling, with Box’s editing contributing significantly to its powerful narrative structure.
