Lee Da-bin, professionally known as Yeonwoo, is a South Korean actress and singer who first gained prominence as a member of the girl group Momoland. Born on August 1, 1996, in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea, she later transitioned into acting, earning recognition for her roles in various television series.
Early Life and Education
Yeonwoo spent her early years in Chungju before moving to Seoul to pursue her education in the arts. She attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul, where she specialized in acting, laying the foundation for her future career in entertainment.
Career Beginnings with Momoland
In 2016, Yeonwoo participated in Mnet's reality survival show "Finding Momoland," a program designed to select members for MLD Entertainment's new girl group. Her talent and charisma secured her a spot in the group, and she officially debuted with Momoland on November 10, 2016, with the mini-album "Welcome to Momoland." During her tenure, she served as the main rapper, vocalist, and visual of the group, contributing to hits that resonated with fans worldwide.
Transition to Acting
In November 2019, Yeonwoo departed from Momoland to focus on her burgeoning acting career. She remained with MLD Entertainment initially, taking on roles in various television dramas. Her acting debut came with a role in MBC's "The Great Seducer" in 2018. Subsequently, she appeared in series such as "Pegasus Market" (2019), "Touch" (2020), "Alice" (2020), and "Cheat on Me If You Can" (2020).

In early 2022, Yeonwoo signed an exclusive contract with 9ato Entertainment, marking a new chapter in her acting career. That same year, she starred in the drama "The Golden Spoon," a performance that earned her the Best New Actress Award at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards. Continuing her momentum, she took on a role in the workplace drama "Numbers" in 2023. Additionally, she contributed to the soundtrack of the MBC TV series "My Dearest" with the song "To You" (그대에게) in August 2023.
