Yogeeta Bali, born on August 13, 1952, in Bombay (now Mumbai), carved a niche for herself in the Hindi film industry during the 1970s and 1980s. Coming from a lineage of actors, as the niece of the popular yesteryear actress Geeta Bali, Yogeeta navigated her own path in Bollywood, appearing in a significant number of films.

 

 

Early Life and Entry into Bollywood:

Yogeeta Bali's family background deeply connected her to the film world. Her mother, Hardarshan Kaur, was Geeta Bali's sister, further solidifying her ties to the industry. She began her acting career in the early 1970s, making her debut with films like Parwana (1971), where she shared screen space with stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan.

Yogeeta Bali's personal life also garnered media attention. She was briefly married to the legendary singer Kishore Kumar from 1976 to 1978. In 1979, she married actor Mithun Chakraborty. The couple has three sons – Mahaakshay (Mimoh), Ushmey, and Namashi – and an adopted daughter, Dishani. After her marriage to Mithun Chakraborty, Yogeeta Bali largely retired from acting to focus on her family.
