Yohji Yamamoto was born on October 3, 1943, in Tokyo, Japan. He studied law at Keio University before deciding to pursue a career in fashion. He later graduated from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, where he developed the technical skills that would shape his distinctive design philosophy.

Career
