Yôsuke Eguchi
Biography
Yōsuke Eguchi was born on 31 December 1967 in Tokyo, Japan. He is a Japanese actor and singer who has built a long and successful career in film and television. He is particularly known for his roles in Rurouni Kenshin Part I: Origins (2012), Goemon (2009), and Rurouni Kenshin Part II: Kyoto Inferno (2014).
Eguchi has appeared in numerous Japanese television dramas, including School, Gunshi Kanbei, Black Leather Notebook, BG: Personal Bodyguard, Cold Case, Seven Secretaries, and Nemesis. His film credits include The Blood of Wolves, The Silent Service, Kyrie, and Teasing Master Takagi-san.
International audiences became more familiar with Eguchi through Netflix's House of Ninjas (2024), where he portrays Soichi Tawara, the patriarch of a legendary ninja family. The character has retired from his former ninja life and now runs the family's struggling brewery, but is eventually drawn back into the family's dangerous past.
With decades of experience across television, cinema, and music, Eguchi remains a prominent figure in Japanese entertainment.
