However, the legend of Jeona Morh is now being revisited in a musical tribute featuring the voice of UmarJaum. The rising Pakistani singer has lent his soul-stirring vocals to a new rendition of traditional Punjabi folk songs inspired by Morh’s life. UmarJaum’s powerful voice captures the raw emotions of Jeona’s pain, resilience, and rebellion, adding a fresh dimension to the historical narrative.
From his heart-wrenching betrayal by Dogar to his revenge against corrupt officials, Jeona Morh’s tale remains one of Punjab’s most enduring legends. With UmarJaum’s musical tribute breathing new life into this story, the warrior’s legacy finds a renewed voice, resonating with audiences across borders.
Jeona Morh fled into the jungles where he met a gang of bandits and eventually became their leader and vowed to take revenge. Jeona Morh had murdered every person who had any involvement in the ill-treatment of his family before finally being shot multiple times to death. His real-life Samadhi is at the base of the foothill of the Naina Devi Temple overlooking Gobind Sagar lake created by the Bhakra-Nangal Dam.
Meanwhile, speaking of Jatt Jeona Morh, the biopic on ‘Jeona Morh’ was already made 30 years ago that is 1992. During that time the film has been directed by Ravinder Ravi and was produced by Rupinder Singh Gill (Guggu Gill’s brother) and Iqbal Singh Dhillon. The old cult classic featured Guggu Gill, Manjit Kular, Surinder Shinda, Mohd Sadiq, Neena Sidhu, Parminder Sandhu, Daljit Kaur Rahi, Jaspal Dhillon, and many others in pivotal roles. And now these three young artists of the Punjabi industry will be re-creating the story for their fans. All the moviegoers will definitely love the story and the idea the makers have chosen

The upcoming Punjabi film "Maurh" has been hailed as Ammy Virk and Dev Kharoud's largest joint project. The movie is unquestionably a pleasure for all Punjabi film enthusiasts. 'Maurh' is a remake of 'Jatt Jeona Morh,' if reports are to be accepted.
And now the film’s team has treated the fans with the teaser of Maurh. As promised they dropped the clip on May 14, and we must say that you will be thrilled to watch the same. We saw the major part of the teaser shoot in a sandy area. The teaser is very unique and treats viewers with different kinds of cinematic experiences and leaves the audience stunned.
It has been a pleasure to watch two prolific actors Ammy Virk and Dev Kharoud sharing the single screen. The film which has been produced by Naad Studios and Rhythm Boyz Entertainment will be released on June 9, 2023. Earlier the film was slated to hit the silver screens on June 16, 2023
