Jayaram

Biography

Jayaram was born on December 10, 1964, in Perumbavoor, Kerala, India. He is an actor, known for Thuppakki (2012), Ponniyin Selvan: Part I (2022), and Thooval Kottaram (1996). He is married to Parvathi. They have two children.

In Kerala filmdom he is known as the safest bet as his films rarely flop at the box office. He is the favorite of the family audience, and is usually cast as a hero of family dramas.

Introduced his son, Kalidasan, to movies, acting alongside him in 'Kochu Kochu Santoshangal' and 'Ente Veedu Appuntem' for which Kalidasan won the National Award for Best Child Artiste.

Won the State Award for Second Best Actor & Special Jury Award for his performance in Swayamvarapandhal (2000).

Also won the State Special Jury Award in 1996, Sini Best Actor Award, Film Fair Award, and Rotary Club Award in 1996 for Thooval Kottaram (1996).
