Biography

Kiran Kumar was born on October 20, 1953, in Bombay, State of Bombay, India. He is an actor, known for Chalaak (1973), Khuda Gawah (1992), and Do Matwale (1991).

Son of former actor Jeevan Dhar.

Brother of Bollywood actor Bhushan Kumar Dhar.

Was engaged to Rekha in the early 70's.

People accused Kiran of copying Rajesh Khanna's mannerisms. But Kiran said that he was copying theatre actor V.K. Sharma's acting mannerisms. V.K. Sharma was Rajesh's acting guru from his theatre days. So Khanna's style of acting came from Sharma.

His father Jeevan opposed him being in Gujarati films. Jeevan wanted him to work only in Hindi films as a hero. But Kiran Kumar was not getting any work. So he had no choice.

His filmography is often mixed up with choreographer Kiran Kumar.

Son's name is actor Shaurya Kumar and Vikas Kumar.

The daughter is designer Shristi Kumar.

Sister names are Nikki Jeevan and Rikki Ugra.
