Vikram Gokhale
Biography
One of the most prominent personalities in the Hindi and Marathi TV, theater, and film industries, Vikram Gokhale is an actor and director.
Having started his acting career with theater, the veteran star made his debut on the silver screen with Parwana (1971), and over the course, of his illustrious career, he appeared in more than 90 films across Hindi and Marathi language and nearly 15 TV series` and along the way won several laurels including the National Film Award for Best Actor for his outstanding role in the Marathi film Anumati (2013).
A few of his other notable film appearances include Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro (1989), Balwaan (1992), Andolan (1995), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), De Dana Dan (2009), Ab Tak Chhappan 2 (2015) and Khopa (2017).
Apart from film, the veteran actor is also well known for his roles in TV series including Kishitij Ye Nahi, Mera Naam Karegi Roshan, Sanjivani, Virrudh, and Singhasan. For his outstanding contribution to his work in theater, in 2011, Vikram was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
His 2018 credit includes Aiyaary, directed by Neeraj Pandey. He is also associated with the 2018 Marathi drama Bal Bhimrao, directed by Prakash Narayan Jadhav, and Remo D` Souza`s Race 3.
His 2019 projects include Ek Nirnay...Swatahacha Swatasathi, Aasud, Pranaam, Cypher - Shoonya Se Shikhar Tak, Aakrandan. His 2020 releases include Prawaas, Kesari, and AB and CD.
