Anjana Mumtaz was born on 4 January 1941 in Bombay, Bombay Presidency, British India. She is an actress, known for Koi... Mil Gaya (2003), Sati Naag Kanya (1983) and Bandhe Haath (1973). She is married to Sajid Mumtaz.

Mother of Bollywood actor Ruslaan Mumtaz.

Sister is actress Madhu Manjrekar who debuted in Bazaar Bandh Karo.

Born in Maharahstrian family as Anjana Manjrekar.

Well-known for playing a mother in 90s films.

She went to see the film shooting of Paakeezah in 1965 and met Meena Kumari. Meena advised her to finish her studies and join films. Meena introduced Anjana to Mehmood.

Mehmood later introduced Anjana to the Mukherjees who signed her for Sumbundh.

Starred in the shelved movie R.K. Movies International's "Prem Ritoo"(1992) Starring Manish Anjana Mumtaz, and Kishore Nandalaskar, Music by Rishi Raj, Directed by V.N. Mayekar.

The real name is "Vidya".
