Biography
Sachin Khedekar is an Indian actor and film director known for his work in Marathi and Hindi cinema. He was born on May 14, 1965, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Khedekar started his acting career in the early 1990s with Marathi theater. He gained recognition for his performances in various Marathi plays and soon made his way into Marathi films.
In 1994, he made his film debut with the Marathi movie "Chimni Pakhara." His portrayal of a villainous character in the film was well-received and earned him critical acclaim.
In the following years, Sachin Khedekar appeared in several Marathi films, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Some of his notable Marathi movies include "Mahatma Phule," "Zenda," "Ajintha," and "Samhita," among others.
He has collaborated with acclaimed Marathi directors like Jabbar Patel, Sumitra Bhave, and Sunil Sukthankar, establishing himself as a prominent actor in the Marathi film industry.
Khedekar's talent and success in Marathi cinema led to opportunities in Hindi cinema as well. He made his Hindi film debut with the movie "Maachis" in 1996, directed by Gulzar.
He went on to act in various Hindi films, including "Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero," "Tum Bin," "Rann," and "Poster Boys," to name a few. He has also appeared in other regional language films like Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
Apart from acting, Sachin Khedekar has also ventured into directing. He directed the Marathi film "Aajcha Divas Majha" in 2013, which received critical acclaim for its portrayal of the struggles faced by an honest police officer.
Sachin Khedekar has been recognized for his acting prowess and has received several awards and nominations throughout his career. He has won the Maharashtra State Film Award for Best Actor for his performances in "Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy" and "Aajcha Divas Majha."
